In order to encourage the majority of employees in the city to innovate and make achievements based on their positions, recently, Qingdao Federation of Trade Unions held the release of " Qingdao Craftsman 's Day " and the launch ceremony of Qingdao Employee Innovation and Entrepreneurship Activity Week. At the event, Wang Xu of Hailir Pharmaceutical Group ( formerly the director of the fourth room of the New Technology Institute of the R & D Center and currently the vice general manager of Shandong Hailir Chemical Co., Ltd. ) was selected as the " Qingdao Craftsman " in 2023.

       Since Wang Xu 's entry into Hailir, he has paid attention to learning, studied his business hard, consulted his predecessors humbly, learned technology and style of study, and continued to practice Hailir 's quality concept of " craftsman spirit and excellence. "  
       He loves his job and devotes himself to process optimization and new product development. He has been meticulous in project construction for more than ten years. Since 2015, he led the team to develop the prothioconazole project. At the beginning, there were only a few literatures to refer to. In less than 2 months, he led the team to open up the process route. His organic laboratory often worked all night. He often stared at the reaction before working overtime to the night. After two years of process research, both the production yield, raw material cost and waste control have made great progress.

       In 2020, the propane sulfur project entered trial production. In order to ensure the smooth production of the project, he did not go home for a long time, ate and lived in the factory, worked with workshop workers on the production line, and worked for more than 15 hours a day. Through on-site technical guidance, the project was successfully put into operation. At present, the project is at the leading level in the industry in China, and it has added a very considerable amount of sales to the company every year.  
       In recent years, he has personally won 1 special award, 2 first-class awards, 3 second-class awards, and 1 third-class award from the company 's president of technological innovation. He has been rated as an excellent employee 5 times. He has received 9 national invention patents ( including 3 first inventors ) and 15 utility model patents ( including 6 first inventors ). In February 2014, he won 1 second-class award of Qingdao Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 third-class award of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award in January 2016, and ' Chengyang Craftsman ' in December 2022.
